Sasha, Extraordinary Dachshund by CJ Adams

This is the story of Sasha, a sweet little Dachshund, and her family CJ and Mel Adams. I love animals, and have and a pet in my home since I was 2. Those early years it was dogs, now we have cats. I still tear up when I think of our first dog. It is amazing how these furry critters take over your heart and can bring so much joy. It also amazes me how much their absence can cause so much grief.

This is a great book. Make sure you have some tissues ready when you get toward the end. It made me cry, probably more than normal because 2 years ago I had to put my cat Smokey to sleep. It was a hard decision to make. It was made during a difficult time, my sister was ill, and there was alot of stress in the house. So not sure if it was the right decision, but one I have to live with. Anyway, this is a great tribute to a loving pet.

The only complaint I had was the use of the b word. I know it is an accurate term, but I don't think it was necessary. Thankfully it was only a few times, or it would have really turned me off.
