Went for the next session of our Women's Bible study on Revelations. The study is by Beth Moore and she is fantastic. Revelations is always been a book in the bible to ignore for me, but I am really getting into it. One of the first things that she told us to try and do is to write down something from everyday where God reveled Himself to do. By opening your mind to that thought it is amazing what simple things in your day can bring God to mind.
A couple of weeks ago Topaz (cat) was trying to climb in my lap to get some attention. I was working on something on my laptop and had to keep pushing him away. He finally went to the other end of the couch and curled up in a ball and laid there watching me. I started to feel guilty. I finished what I was doing and set my laptop aside. Topaz looked at me, waiting to see what I was going to do next, because if he is awake he usually follows me around. I look over at him and patted my leg and he was over in my lap in a shot, pushing himself into me so happy to get some of my time.
Odd story for God revealing himself? God is like a beloved pet. He is there waiting while we finish what we are doing so that we can take time for him. We don't have to wait to get his attention. He is there willing and able to love us and spend time with us if we just stop and take the time to be with Him. How he must love us to put up with our inconsistencies in spending time with Him.
God is good!!!
