Oyster Bay is home to Olivia Limoge, know as the grouchiest women on the entire North Carolina coast. She has several business investments and is known as one of the richest people living in the area. She finds herself becoming a member of the Bayside Book Writers group, who are going to be meeting in the refurbished cottage on her property. The leader of the group, Camden, doesn't show up for their first meeting. The group decides to go looking for him, but instead they find a mystery that will task all of their creative abilities.
A thoroughly enjoyable story. Olivia is a likable character, especially with her beloved dog Captain Haviland at her side. The characters are well developed and you grow to like them and root for them to do well. I was kind of glad that they didn't spend much time on the romantic aspect of the story, since it wouldn't have seemed natural. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
